Cream Cheese Pound Cake - Sweet Story #3

I don't know any girl that wouldn't jump at the chance to get her hair and make-up done. Its the best feeling to be all done up and sexy!

We have the privilege of knowing Christina Cessna & Jo Baker. Christina is a hair stylist at Bungalow Salon and has been doing my hair for a few years now (no this blond hair is not natural, unfortunately). And Jo Baker is a make-up artist from Britain. Both ladies are so amazing at what they do, and are truly the best at their craft.
We decided to switch up the format of the new Mini Baker "Sweet Stories" to be a little bit more vintage, sexy and artsy. Hope you like what you see! Please share with your friends!

Pound Cake
INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. lemon zest

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 325.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.
3. Add eggs, beating well.
4. Add the flour in slowly, mix well. Be sure to scrape down the sides!
5. Add vanilla extract and lemon zest to the mixture, mix well.
6. Grease and flour a 10 inch bundt pan (or tube pan).
7. Bake at 325 for 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
8. Wait 1 hour before inverting your pound cake and serving. Serve with your favorite berries and fresh whipped cream!

Congrats to PINK LITTLE CAKE... you've won the Erin Baker's Giveaway!
