Singing Dog Vanilla Review & GIVEAWAY

The kind people at Singing Dog Vanilla sent me some Singing Dog Pure Vanilla Extract & another bottle for one of my lucky followers to try!

Let me tell you, this is one of the BEST vanilla extract I've ever tried. The taste is so pure and really stands out in your baked goods. Singing Dog Vanilla Extract is also made with NO added sugar or fructose. Its also made from certified organic vanilla beans. You can really taste the difference between SDV and your average imitation vanilla extract.
To test out this delicious extract I decided to bake my favorite Vanilla Sugar Cookies!

To WIN this giveaway simply list your favorite recipe that uses Vanilla Extract!

Vanilla Sugar Cookies:
makes 60 rolled/cut cookies

  • 1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour (I used cake flour this time)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt - set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix just until combined. (Over-mixing will make for a tough cookie!)
  4. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.
  7. Top with your favorite royal icing.

GOOD LUCK to you all! This is a giveaway you DEFINITELY will not want to miss out on!

HAPPY BAKING,
Mini B.

  11. Nothing beats a great vanilla extract - the backbone of baking. My favorite way to use it is pretty simple - in a yummy vanilla flavored pound cake.
