I got hitched October 8th in Carlsbad, California at Leo Carrillo Ranch.
The day was beautiful, sunny & so MAGICAL!
Our wedding was very unconventional and very personal to our style and likes.
For example, I (Mini Baker) made all the desserts for our wedding. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I wanted it to be exactly what we wanted, which was: a MINI dessert bar!
I made 19 dozen cupcakes which included regular & mini versions of Cookies & Cream Cupcakes, Red Velvet Cupcakes & Lemon Chiffon Cupcakes with Raspberry Buttercream.
In addition to the cupcakes, I made our favorite Coconut Cream Cake with Mikey and I to cut (we had to have a little bit of tradition in there!)
We also had brownies, lemon bars, Finksbrod (a danish butter cookie, we had many Danish family at the wedding, so these were in honor of them), meringue kisses and chocolate souffle cookies.
People went CRAZY for all the desserts (literally pushing others out of the way to get to the table). I myself, think its so much fun to try a little taste of a bunch of different desserts rather than one big piece of cake. Everyone agreed. In fact, out of the 19 dozen cupcakes and 30 dozen bars & cookies there was only 1 dozen left.
Our theme was rustic meets chic, lots of burlap, crisp whites, wood, eggplant purple accents & southern food & drinks!
In addition to the desserts, my mom & dad helped me bring my vision to life. My dad made all of the wood accents (wedding sign, Mr&Mrs. sign, table numbers, cake stands, C&M cake topper, and flower boxes). We decided on burlap runners and hand-made wood flower boxes full of not roses, but very country looking flowers, millet and succulents.
We even hung out RSVP picture postcards over the bar and the people who wrote cute comments had theirs facing out for others to read :)
The most talked about item of the wedding was our BBQ buffet. We had a caterer that BBQ'd ribs, tri-tip and chicken fresh on the site. There was a wafting smell of BBQ and smoke seeping through the pepper tree as the ceremony was happening.
Again, so magical! It was delicious, especially the mac&cheese and green beans&bacon that accompanied all that delicious meet!
Our Ceremony featured a string trio that played the Tennessee Waltz as the bridal party walked down the aisle, and Pachebel's Canon as I walked down with my father. Hearing our guests gasp as my dad and I walked out was something I thought only happened in movies. It was so magical to hear that sound. So magical in fact, that I started balling before we even starting walking down the aisle! haha

We also had bocce ball for the guests to play. My hubby and his boys played it before the ceremony :)
Sorry for all the photos! Its so hard to choose just 2 or 3 favorites!
