Easter Basket Cake --- and it's EDIBLE!

Since Michel & I both found out we would have Easter off this year, I decided to take an
Easter Basket Cake to my Aunt Betty's for Easter supper. Aunt Betty's house is always warm and inviting... perfect for ANY holiday event! And it was so cute because there were cute little bowls of Starburst jellybeans (my favorite) everywhere in the house... even in the bathroom! :-)

So... back to the cake...
The Easter Basket cake was a 6" two layer Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, all of the wicker-work was made with Cream Cheese Frosting. The Easter Basket handle was made with Wilton's gumpaste.
Let me know if you want specific directions on how to create this beautiful AND yummy Easter Basket for next year!
Happy Baking to you all :)

And now some pictures for your viewing pleasure...

  1. I am so wishing I had the time to bake some of those up today! Man, do they look delicious.

Now why don't you live right across the street from me so that I could smell the delicious smells wafting out from your kitchen and then run over so I could snitch a few???

    Have a wonderful weekend!
